Ken and Becky
Parrish are both natives of Lynchburg, Virginia. They were married on May 19,
1973, and have three children; Shawn, Ben, and Stephanie.
Ken and Becky were both raised in church, attending a Disciples of Christ
Church in Lynchburg. Becky gave her heart to the Lord at a revival service at
the age of nine. Ken was saved through the witness of his older brother in 1974.
Both received the baptism in the Holy Spirit in 1980 after visiting a local
independent charismatic church.
Ken and
Becky Parrish
While working as a volunteer at his home church on August 1, 1977, Ken
was electrocuted while moving a ladder during a painting project, and suffered
severe third degree electrical burns over his chest and both arms, resulting in
the amputation of his left hand and the loss of the use of the right hand. Many
surgeries over the next two and a half years restored limited use of the right
hand.
In 1981, Ken answered the call to the ministry, and became the founding
Pastor of Victory Christian Fellowship on February 7, 1988. Becky was ordained
into the ministry on July 31, 1988.
Becky graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Elementary Education in
1997, and earned an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction from UVA in 2008. After
having taught in the Bedford County Public School System for 13 years, she
retired in 2011 and now assists full time with the ministry.
Ken and Becky have shared many experiences in life, both good and bad,
and in everything have found the grace of God to be sufficient to provide
Victory in every circumstance. The desire of their heart is to help others to
experience the love, grace, mercy, and Victory in Jesus that God has shared with
them.
The journey continues....
