I have fought the good fight, I have finished
I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV)
Hello, and welcome to the launch page for my book. My name is
Ben Parrish. I am 35 years old and was born and raised in Lynchburg, VA. I
have a beautiful wife, Julie, and 2 precious children; my adorable daughter
Lee, and my laugh-a-minute son, JJ. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease
in February 2007. The initial news sent shockwaves through my family. But
what Satan meant for death and destruction, God turned around to bring peace
Itís hard to believe itís been 5 years since I first sat down to write about
my journey. Iíve read and re-read bits and pieces in the time since, but my
recent revisit to the book to both edit and update brought back lots of
forgotten emotions and feelings and reminded me, yet again, that I am loved
beyond compare. The thought is just unreal to my human mind but in my heart
I know it to be true.
So, here it is. Enjoy the story. I pray youíll be blessed and Iím certain
you will be.
Excerpt from the Forward:
"Life isnít fair, and we donít always get to
choose the battles we will fight or the circumstances we will face. But for the
child of God, victory is always assured. And though even victory does not always
come in the form we might desire, in Benís case it did. And we are eternally
grateful to our loving heavenly Father; who chose to hear the cries of our heart
and graciously grant our request for Benís healing."

My intent at first was to try to mass publish my testimony in an attempt to get
it to as many people as might want to read it or need to hear it. Because I am
not a known author, or even a known anybody, having my story accepted for
publication would not be easy. Add to the mix that material profits, royalties,
or any other form of compensation was not a goal, it was very easy to accept the
suggestions of those whom I had asked for assistance that it might be best to
post it online and give it away. After all, it's ministry and inspiration
