The Vision For
Victory House In 1997, as we made plans to develop
our land on Leesville Road, we were impressed that Victory Christian
Fellowship should build and fully equip a home to be used as a
temporary emergency shelter for families who experienced the tragedy
of a house fire. Every year people in our community lose their homes
to accidental fires, leaving them with no place to go yet with all
the normal expenses of living plus the need to replace everything
they've lost in the fire. At VCF, we had a vision to build a home
where a family in such a crisis could stay together without worrying
about how they were going to pay for rent in addition to their other
expenses. We planned to build a fully equipped, fully furnished home
that would be a place where families could feel comfortable, secure,
and at peace while they rebuilt their lives. We are grateful to the
Lord for the coalition of organizations He brought together to help
us bring this vision to pass! (See "Sponsors" link.) Ken Parrish, Pastor
And the King will tell them, `I assure you, when you did it to
one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it
to me!' - Matthew 25:40 (NLT) |
